National Signing Day: A Look At The Top 20 QB Recruits

Today is National Signing Day.
Here are the top 20 quarterback recruits in the country, according to Rivals.com. All of these players are pure pocket passers.
Christian Hackenberg – Penn State
Hackenberg starred for Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia where he threw for 2,144 yards, 24 touchdowns and nine interceptions in his senior season. He also added 436 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.
Max Browne – USC
Browne threw for 4,526 yards, 49 touchdowns and five interceptions in his senior season with Skyline High School in Washington. He added six rushing touchdowns as well.
Hayden Rettig – LSU
Rettig threw for 3,424 yards, 40 touchdowns and 18 interceptions in his senior season under center for Cathedral High School in California. In seven of his 13 starts he tossed four or more touchdown passes.
Shane Morris – Michigan
Morris threw for 738 yards, six touchdowns and six interceptions in his senior season De La Salle Collegiate High School in Michigan. His season ended early due to mono. He added 19 touchdown passes in his junior season and 15 touchdown passes in his sophomore season.
Jeremy Johnson – Auburn
Johnson threw for 3,193 yards, 31 touchdowns and seven interceptions in his senior season at Carver High School in Alabama. He contributed 706 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.
Ryan Burns – Stanford
Burns saw his senior season at Stone Bridge High School in Virginia end early due to injury He threw five touchdown passes in two games. He added 13 passing touchdowns in his junior season.
Cody Thomas – Oklahoma
Thomas threw for 4,221 yards, 46 touchdowns and seven interceptions in his senior season at Heritage High School in Texas. He also added three touchdowns on the ground.
Jared Goff – California
Goff threw for 3,692 yards, 40 touchdowns and 12 interceptions in his senior season at Marin Catholic High School in California. He also added eight rushing touchdowns.
Danny Etling – Purdue
Etling threw for 1,505 yards and 11 touchdowns in his senior season at South Vigo High School in Indiana. He completed a season high 79 yard pass against Warren Central.
Bucky Hodges – Virginia Tech
Hodges appeared in just one game in his senior season at Salem High School in Virginia tossing three touchdowns. He added 13 touchdown passes and eight rushing touchdowns during his sophomore season at Salem.
Cooper Bateman – Alabama
Bateman contributed seven touchdown passes and six rushing touchdowns in four starts in his senior season at Cottonwood High School in Utah. He threw for 2,484 yards, 26 touchdowns and seven interceptions during his junior season.
Kevin Olsen – Miami
Olsen added five passing touchdowns in four starts as a senior at Wayne Hills High School in New Jersey. He tossed 20 touchdowns in his junior season for the Patriots.
Connor Mitch – South Carolina
Mitch threw for 4,701 yards and 63 touchdowns in his senior season at Wakefield High School in North Carolina. He threw 48 touchdown passes in his junior season for the Wolverines.
Brice Ramsey – Georgia
Ramsey threw for 1,396 yards, 19 touchdowns and three interceptions as a senior at Camden County High School in Georgia.
Kohl Stewart – Texas A&M
Stewart threw for 2,560 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions as a senior at St. Pius X High School in Texas.
Damion Terry – Michigan State
Terry helped lead his Cathedral Prep Ramblers in Pennsylvania to a perfect 15-0 record during his senior year. He threw for 3,282 yards, 48 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
Brogan Roback – Eastern Michigan
Roback added 14 touchdowns through the air and seven on the ground at St. John’s Jesuit High School in Ohio.
Tyler Bruggman – Washington State
Bruggman threw for 2,803 yards, 33 touchdowns and eight interceptions in his senior season at Brophy College Prep in Arizona.
Ryan Buchanan – Ole Miss
Buchanan threw for 1,490 yards, 21 touchdowns and five interceptions in his senior season as his Jackson Prep Patriots (Mississippi) went 13-0.
Joshua Dobbs – Tennessee
Dobbs threw for 3,625 yards, 29 touchdowns and 11 interceptions as a senior at Alpharetta High School in Georgia. He also added 419 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.

Brandon Hawkins – Valparaiso
Hawkins threw for 1,691 yards, 16 touchdowns and four interceptions as a senior at Alonso High School. He also added four rushing touchdowns.
Vidal Woodruff – Bethel College
Woodruff threw for 1,649 yards, 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions as a senior for Carrollwood Day School. He also rushed for 246 yards and seven touchdowns as the Patriots went 10-2 on the season.
Will Worth – Navy
Worth threw for 1,051, 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions as a senior for Newsome High School. He was featured mostly as a runner where he carried he ball 249 times for 1,537 yards and 19 touchdowns including a season long of 80 yards.
